Robin Cote, Ph.D.

Bio:

Robin Côté became associate dean for physical sciences after serving as associate head of the Department of Physics from 2014 to 2016. He earned his BS in physics from Université du Québec à Rimouski (QC, Canada), his MS in physics from Laval University (QC, Canada), and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before arriving at UConn in 1999, he was an ITAMP Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. His most recent research includes understanding and controlling long-range interactions in ultracold systems for applications in quantum information science, ultracold chemistry, Rydberg physics, and few and many-body phenomena.

Larry Klobutcher, Ph.D.

Bio:

Dr. Klobutcher is a professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at UConn Health as well as the Assistant Dean for Research Coordination and Planning. He joined UConn Health in 1984 as an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry. Prior to joining UConn Health, Dr. Klobutcher completed his graduate studies in human genetics at Yale University and postdoctoral work in molecular biology at the University of Colorado. His research has focused on genome organization and programmed reorganization in ciliated protozoa, including work on telomeres and transposable elements.

Dacheng Liu, Ph.D.

Bio:

Dr. Dacheng Liu is the US head of statistics of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from Florida State University in 2003, and was a research fellow focusing on viral dynamics at University of Rochester before joining BI in 2005. Over his tenure at BI, he was trial and project statistician of clinical development programs in multiple disease areas. He currently leads the BI statistics team responsible for early and late phase developments in various disease areas including oncology, central nervous system, respiratory, metabolic/cardiovascular, and inflammatory diseases. His group also covers real world data analytics and non-clinical statistics. Dr. Liu has over 50 publications in clinical trials, statistical methodology and machine learning. He is an active member of several industry working groups.
