Call for papers

Dear BaYSM 2021 participants,

On behalf of the program chairs, I am pleased to invite all participants that contributed to BAYSM 2021 in the form of a talk or poster to submit a paper to be published in the Springer Proceedings in Mathematics and Statistics: https://www.springer.com/series/10533

In order to ensure a timely publication of the book, we would kindly ask you to submit your contribution by sending the TeX + pdf file through the OCS system: https://ocs.springer.com/prom/home/BaYSM2021 by October 31, 2023 23:59 CEST.

Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers and a program chair. The key dates are:

  1. Paper Upload (Until October 31, 2021 23:59 CEST)
  2. Assignment of Reviewers (Until November 15, 2021 23:59 CEST)
  3. Reviews Due (Until December 31, 2021 23:59 CEST)
  4. Author Rebuttal/Revision Due (Until February 15, 2022 23:59 CEST)
  5. Final Decision (Until March 15, 2022 23:59 CEST)

Please note that the volume will not be produced by camera-ready offset procedure, but by conventional typesetting. It is therefore of the outmost importance that you keep to this deadline. The language of publication will be English. Each contribution should be a maximum of 9 pages, including tables and illustrations but excluding references. You are kindly invited to prepare your paper following the Springer template available on the BaYSM2021 webpage. Only the pdf file should be upload for the first submission.

We would like to point out the most relevant points that you are kindly invited to consider:

  • Literature citations should be ordered alphabetically at the end (References); for citation in the text please indicate the number in square brackets. You will find different examples for a correct citation in the Springer template, and we kindly ask you to follow this instruction.
  • Color figures will appear in color in the eBook, but may be printed in black and white if not strictly necessary from a scientific perspective. In that case, do not refer to color in the captions and make sure that the main information will still be visible if converted to black and white.
  • Figures and Tables must be reproduced in high resolution, and you must obtain the permission from the owner as described here: https://www.springer.com/it/authors-editors/book-authors-editors/obtaining-permissions/5638.
Once your paper is accepted for publication, you’ll be requested to sign the Consent to Publish. Upon receipt of the accepted manuscripts, ready for typesetting, Springer will perform style editing. For any questions arising from this procedure, Springer will turn to the single Authors for clarification. The Authors will be sent a set of proofs for correction/approval.

Should you have any problems or questions concerning the manuscript preparation, please do not hesitate to contact Francesca.bonadei@springer.com; for all content matters please turn directly to the Editors of the book.

Best regards,
Raffaele Argiento, Federico Camerlenghi, Sally Paganin
