• Short Course Check In on 8/14/24:
  Check-in will open on the second floor of McHugh, starting at 11:00am. Please pick up your lunch card to dine at the Student Union Marketplace prior to the Short Course Sessions, which start promptly at 1pm. Entrance to McHugh is located off of Fairfield Way, just behind the Student Union.
  Campus Map: Type ‘McHugh’ into the Interactive Campus Map to see the location Short Course Sessions are 1:00-6:00pm in rooms 201 and 202.
• Conference Check In on 8/15/24:
  Check-in will open in the lobby of Science1, starting at 8:00am. Entrance located at 25 King Hill Road, Storrs, CT, 06268. Please note the lot at that building is permit parking only.

• Banquet on 8/15/24 *Separate Ticketed Event*:
  Check-in will open in the lobby of the Alumni Center, starting at 5:30pm. Entrance located at 2384 Alumni Drive, Storrs, CT, 06269. Please note that parking is extremely limited at that location and we recommend keeping your car parked where it is for the day; for guests with mobility issues, please contact Juliet.kapsis@uconn.edu at least five days ahead, for proper planning.

  Each Short Course attendee will be given a Dining Card pre-loaded with $14 for the Student Union Marketplace. 11:00am. Parking and Directions

If you are staying at the Graduate Hotel on campus, we recommend keeping your car parked in the hotel guest lot and following the walking maps to the Short Course and Conference locations.

If you are not staying at the on-campus hotel and parking there, all other parking on campus is by permit or payment for hourly parking ONLY. UConn uses Paybyphone https://www.paybyphone.com/ for parking payments. There are also payment kiosks on the ground floor of the garage. Location Code: South Parking Garage – 5177.
South Parking Garage is the parking garage for conference attendees: 2366 Jim Calhoun Way, Storrs, CT 06269
A portion of Hillside Road is currently restricted to pedestrians only. To access the South Parking Garage from the north side of campus, use Alumni Drive. From the south side of campus, use Bolton Road.
• North Parking Garage is under construction and not available for use.

Driving Directions to Campus:

From the West – Interstate 84 East to Exit 68. From exit, take a right onto Route 195, and follow for 7 miles to campus. Follow signs to South Parking Garage.
Alternate directions from the West – Interstate 84 East to Interstate 384 East. At end of Interstate 384 East, take left fork to Route 44 East. Follow Route 44 East to intersection with Route 195. Take a right onto Route 195 and follow for a mile to campus. Follow signs to South Parking Garage.
From the East – Interstate 84 West to Exit 68. From exit, take a left onto Route 195, and follow for 7 miles to campus. Follow signs to South Parking Garage.
From the Southeast – Interstate 95 to 395 North. Take Exit 81 West to Route 32 North. Follow Route 32 North to Willimantic. In town, turn right and go over bridge. Continue straight through the light and follow 195 North for 8 miles to campus. Follow signs to South Parking Garage.

All the conference participants should pay close attention to all speed limit signs on and around campus. The usual speed limit around UCONN is about 25 or 30 mph. SAFE DRIVING!

Helpful Tips When Visiting Campus

Recommended attire is business casual. We do recommend that you dress in layers, as temperatures in meeting rooms can vary. Comfortable shoes are also recommended for navigating campus.
Bring an umbrella, as the weather may vary during your stay.
There are water-bottle filling stations throughout campus, so bring yours! Can’t find a filling station? Ask one of your UConn hosts!
